Mumbai Mums Support GroupA support group and well-baby clinic for new mothers and their babies up to 1 year.
We are here to give advice on issues such as feeding, weaning, introducing solids and sleep problems. We weigh and measure the baby and have the most up-to-date information on immunization schedules. We also have information on having a baby in Mumbai: the hospitals, the doctors and the pediatricians. Our lending library contains books on issues relating to pregnancy, childbirth, feeding and sleep. Occasionally we will have a guest speaker to address topics such as Post-Natal Depression, Infant CPR, Immunizations, Child Development and much more. Come meet our volunteers, have a coffee and discuss any worries you may have concerning your baby. Please note that our volunteers are not medically qualified so all medical problems will be referred to a doctor. Mothers attending the Mumbai Mums Support Group often choose to make donations in exchange for their participation and this money is used to support FMCHI programmes for disadvantaged Indian women and their children.
